1939.

It’s midnight in Cambridge, and Rosalind Brixton is awoken by the footsteps of three young men on her roof. They are the Night Climbers, a secret society which gathers on the rooftops long after they should be in bed. Hungry for adventure, Rosalind is quickly initiated into this night-time world of clandestine oaths, cleverness, politics and sex. But when this Bohemian new world is shattered by a horrific betrayal, she must choose between keeping quiet and seeking revenge.

Climbers is a powerful and poignant exploration of the barriers women face in traditionally male institutions, and the strength, courage and solidarity it takes to dismantle them.

“There is so much talent in Climbers that its hard to know where to begin… a magical piece of work” - Kaleidoscope Arts Journal

“The production has charm, notably stylish set and costume design and a large cast of emerging performers… Taranto is luminous, fully inhabiting the heroine, Negrette a quietly devastating force.” - The Age

“The production is supported by a fantastic creative team… showcases strong emerging talent in all cast and creative roles” - Arts Hub

“The set by Savanna Wegman is ingenuitive, Director Monique Marani uses it just as creatively.” - Arts Hub

“Compelling… an extraordinary period piece managed well by the entire ensemble” - Stage Whispers

“The cast is clearly talented… Taranto voices Rosalind’s biting wit expertly and Negrette tackles the play’s most emotionally effecting moments with stirring restraint. Sebastian Li is a standout… Tyallah Bullock and Lotte Beckett find humour in every line.” - Limelight Magazine

“Director Monique Marani finely tuned her ensemble of 11, deftly reinforcing the power play and emphasising patriarchal structures… which builds to a grand finale of rebellion and retribution. Fever103 Theatre is clearly a company to watch.” - Melbourne Theatre Info
